The original Poltergeist is one of the most horrifying films ever made. It’s only because of Steven Spielberg‘s hand that the film received a PG Rating. Truly frightening and cursed from the get-go, I’m interested to see what Sam Raimi can do with the remake. Judging by the trailer below, scare the crap out of all of us.
SYNOPSIS
Legendary filmmaker Sam Raimi (“Spiderman,” “Evil Dead”, “The Grudge”) and director Gil Kenan (“Monster House”) contemporize the classic tale about a family whose suburban home is haunted by evil forces. When the terrifying apparitions escalate their attacks and hold the youngest daughter captive, the family must come together to rescue her before she disappears forever.
Poltergeist is directed by Gil Kenan and opens on May 22nd. The film stars: Sam Rockwell, Rosemarie DeWitt, Jared Harris, Jane Adams.
