Super Smash Bros for the Wii U will be released on November 21st, just in time for the holiday shopping season.

The game was announced earlier this year but there were some doubts that it would be released in 2014. With a confirmed date, we can all start adding this to our Christmas lists. But that means we’ll actually have to behave (damn).

If your Smash Bros experience requires the use of a Gamecube controller, Nintendo will be releasing an adapter that will allow you to use your beloved, if slightly abused, controller. Or if you want some extra flair, they will have a new controller with the insignia for a suggested retail of $29.99 USD or a bundle of the game, the adapter, and the controller for $99.99 USD.

Nintendo released the portable version of the game last Friday for the 3DS, selling 2.8 million units in the first weekend alone.

If you live across either pond, you’ll be seeing it on December 5 (Europe) and December 6 (Australia).
