I can’t think of many shows that are as creepy and perverse as Penny Dreadful. It’s the Gothic themes and the throwback to Victorian London that make it so appealing and engaging. Plus, you have classic Horror monsters like Frankenstein, The Wolfman, and Vampires all showing up in the same place. All these elements combined made the show one of my favorite of last year.
Penny Dreadful will make it’s return to Showtime in April and below we have a preview of things to come. Judging by the footage below, show-runner, John Logan (Skyfall), hasn’t lost his touch for the weird.
Penny Dreadful returns to Showtime on April 26th. The show stars: Eva Green, Josh Hartnett, Timothy Dalton, Reeve Carney, Rory Kinnear, Billie Piper, Harry Treadaway, Helen McCrory and Simon Russell Beale will also return and will be joined by Patti LuPone, Douglas Hodge, Sarah Green and Jonny Beauchamp.
