Brian Michael Bendis is one of the biggest names in comic books. He orchestrated the brilliant of the Web Head in, Ultimate Spider-Man. He’s currently writing for Guardians of the Galaxy, and has even crated his own original comic, Powers. The comic follows Christian Walker (Sharlto Copley) and Deena Pilgrim (Susan Heyward), two homicide detectives who focus on cases involving individuals with superpowers. You know, how Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. should be this upcoming season if they don’t screw it up.

Below, we have some words from Bendis on the upcoming Sony Playstation Network original show and our first look at the characters.

In a recent interview with USA Today, the comic writer explained the characters of Walker and Pilgrim.

“It’s such a clever concept to try and imagine a real world where you actually have to deal with powers and how they impact society, and to do that through the lens of a cop drama.”

On having a show on the Playstation Network.

“We’re getting the best of both worlds.  We’re getting a network-budgeted show, and we’re getting to dive in as dark and deep as we want to go.”
