Powers has been in development from Brian Michael Bendis (Ultimate Spider-Man, Guardians of the Galaxy) for going on four years now. Originally pitched over at FX, the show has found it’s place on the Playstation Network. Fans will be able to get the first three episodes on Tuesday, March 10th, with the first episode past that. If you’re a non-Playstation Plus member, you will need to pay for the episodes that will air every subsequent Tuesday.

With the announcement of the release date, we also have a new poster for the series which is shown below. Check that out, as well as make sure to return to the Powers official web page on March 10th for your first look!

Here’s the Official Synopsis:

Powers, an edgy dramatic series, follows the lives of two homicide detectives, Christian Walker and Deena Pilgrim, who are assigned to investigate cases involving people with superhuman abilities, referred to as “Powers.” Set amidst today’s paparazzi culture, Powers asks the questions, what if the world was full of superheroes who aren’t actually heroic at all? What if all that power was just one more excuse for mischief, mayhem, murder, and endorsement deals?

Enter the men and women of the Powers Division, the brave people in charge of protecting humans like us and keeping the peace over commercialized, god-like men and women who glide through the sky imposing their power over the mortals who both worship and fear them.

Powers will be exclusive to the Playstation Network. The show is written by Brian Michael Bendis and star: Sharlto Copley and Susan Heyward as Christian Walker and Deena Pilgrim. The show also stars: Noah Taylor as criminal mastermind Johnny Royalle, Eddie Izzard as Walker’s dangerous former mentor Wolfe, Michelle Forbes as superpowered superstar Retro Girl, Olesya Rulin as teen Power Calista, and Logan Browning as powerful young star Zora.
