The Transformers line has been with Hasbro since I’ve been a child, and since that time I’ve been a huge fan of the Robots in Disguise. Getting the chance to take a look at the upcoming figures was a dream come true as we saw new figures and new looks at their Kreo building sets! Take a look at some of the best new products of 2015 from Hasbro and their Transformers line!
One of the big lines this upcoming year is going to be the Combiner Wars line. It’s partnering up with the IDW comic series of the same name, and it’s really great because you get to build your own Mega Transformers! Just check them out below!
You can’t really call it a Combiner Wars without the ultimate combiner, and that honor goes to Devastator! The figure is completely massive and looks just like the figures of old. I couldn’t believe I was actually seeing him in the flesh and it took all my willpower not to pull my wallet out and give the guys at Hasbro all my money right then and there.
Transformers: Robots in Disguise
Hasbro is also giving a lot of love to the younger generation with a series of figures based on the upcoming cartoon Transformers: Robots in Disguise. The cartoon will be a sequel to Transformers: Prime, and features Bumblebee leading a new team of Autobots into the fight against the Decepticons. As I mentioned before, these figures are really great because you can scan them with your Smart Device and it will unlock different characters and weapons in the accompanying app!
When the Kre-O line launched a few years ago, I was elated. BUILD MY OWN TRANSFORMERS!? It was a geeky dream of mine and it finally came true. I instantly snatched up Optimus, Starscream, Megatron, Bumblebee, and Sentinel Prime. The line is still going strong and the new characters and designs coming up in 2015 look better than ever.
Ever thankful for being shown around Hasbro by Brandon! The staff was extremely knowledgeable and I loved the new products. I like that they are doing more with app integration to bridge that gap between the toys and tablets. It’s a smart way to get more of the younger generation involved, and as a long-time fan of the series; it was very cool to see the next step in innovation. As Optimus always says “Roll Out” and get those new Transformers products when they hit the market throughout this year!
