The Playstation 3 has long had a huge back catalog of Playstation Classics for sale, to either be played on your tv via the system itself, or to take on the road with you on your PSP. However, the PSP’s successor, the PS Vita, did not have this functionality, much to the dismay and frustration of some gamers. Today at Gamescom however, Sony has announced that it will be implementing this feature in its new firmware patch 1.80 on August 28. In addition, there will be a slew of other features, such as being able to control select PS3 titles with the vita, like LittleBigPlanet 2. You can read the whole post at Sony’s Official Playstaion Blog. Now Count the days until you can take Final Fantasy 7 on the road with your shiny new Vita!
