When Casey and I were in middle school, so young and impressionable, Marvel launched their 2099 imprint. This was a smash hit to a certain extent and there are still characters, Spider-Man 2099 being the most recognizable, in today’s comics and movies. Marvel dropped one of the best teasers in advance of this whole 2099 initiative and with it being 2019 it is now 80 years from that future time period and 80 years since the fist Marvel Comics characters were running around. Well we aren’t getting a full relaunch of the series’ but we are getting some great one-shots and an arc in the current run of Amazing Spider-Man, of which the first issue is now on sale!
