We’re still not entirely sure of the direction of the DCEU but what we do know is that the David F. Sandberg-directed Shazam! movie has started filming. How it will tie in to the other movies remains to be seen, but that doesn’t make me any less excited about the movie. Sandberg has been proving to be an awesome director with Lights Out and Annabelle Creation, and it’s great to see Warner Bros. doing more to embrace horror directors at the studio. I’m sure a lot of this has to do with James Wan doing Aquaman and Walter Hamada stepping into the role of Head of Production; Hamada most known for his role in producing The Conjuring, Lights Out, and It.
Shazam! will star Zachary Levi in the title role and Asher Angel as Billy Batson.
