Over the weekend I took some time to re-read Frank Miller’s, A Dame to Kill For. It had been a good ten years since I read it, and I’m glad that I did. The thing about Miller’s work is that it draws you in on the first comic frame. The pulp noir look coupled with his writing, is perfect for the comic medium and extremely excited when it gets translated to the screen.

In the upcoming adaptation directed by Miller and Robert Rodriguez, we’ll see The Dame and her many suitors come to life. The newest trailer shows off the men that she drives wild through her seduction. Eva Green seems to be doing a great job in the role and I can’t wait for August to see how it all plays out.

Here’s a synopsis:

[box_light]Sin City: A Dame to Kill For weaves together two of Frank Miller’s classic stories with new tales in which the town’s most hard boiled citizens cross paths with some of its more repulsive inhabitants. In Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, Dwight is hunted down by the only woman he ever loved, Ava Lord, and then watches his life go straight to hell. Chronologically, this story takes place prior to “The Big Fat Kill” (featured in the film Frank Miller’s Sin City) and explains how Dwight came to have a dramatically different face.[/box_light]
