If you’re going to go away from the success of the Fast & Furious films, you better go big or go home. Looks like Justin Lin is going the route of the former, as he’s just been signed on to direct Star Trek 3. The franchise that sparked my interest in Star Trek again, and left many Trekkies wanting to ring the neck of J. J. Abrams.
I’m confident that Lin will take the series into an interesting direction. He’s done wonders for the FF films and with another big ensemble cast, it’ll be something he’s already familiar with. I love what Abrams has already established, and I’m just excited to see the Enterprise boldly go where no one has gone before.
