I remember when the first announcement was made of the casting for Star Wars: Episode VII. There was an outrage at the lack of females in the group, and either director, J. J. Abrams, listened to the cries; or just hadn’t cast all the roles yet. Given that Abrams always has strong female leads in his television shows and movies, I’m going to lean towards the latter.

christina-chongToday, we’re pleased to announce another female addition to the space odyssey in 24: Live Another Day actress, Christina Chong. Chong was also recently named as the lead actress in Sergio Mimica-Gezzan’s live-action Halo: Nightfall. No word as to whom she will be playing in Star Wars, but given her background as a badass; it would be cool to see her as a member of the Sith.
