After years and years of being in and out of production, The Dark Tower creator himself, Stephen King, officially confirms the film is in pre-production. After being rumored, it looks like we’ll be seeing Idris Elba in the role of The Gunslinger and Matthew McConaughey as The Man in Black. I have never read the book series myself, but I am a fan of King and his work and I can’t wait to see what happens next. Maybe by the time the film actually comes out, I can read the books
