Let me just say that I am probably just as excited about PARANORMAN as I am about any of the other big summer blockbusters this year. Actually, with the exception of The Avengers, Cabin in the WoodsThe Hobbit, and Skyfall; there really isn’t another movie that I am more excited about. Another celebration of stop-motion animation brought to you by the wizards over at LAIKA sudios (Coraline). As part of Stop-Motion Sundays I wanted to share some behind-the-scenes photos and videos of the making of PARANORMAN to get you just as excited as I am. So, check them out below and see everyone on August 17th, 2012 in the theaters!

From animation studio LAIKA, the creative masterminds behind CORALINE (Gaiman) comes PARANORMAN. Directed/Written by Chris Butler and co-director Sam Fell.  Music by the amazing Jon Brion (Step Brothers, I Heart Huckabees). With voice acting contributed by Kodi Smit-McPhee (Let Me In), McLovin (Christopher Mintz-Plasse), Leslie Mann (Rio), and Casey Affleck (Chasing Amy).

PARANORMAN is the story of a misunderstood boy who can speak with the dead, takes on ghosts, zombies and grown-ups to save his town from a centuries-old curse.
