The SYFY Channel will be bringing the Frank Miller samurai drama, Ronin, to television according to the Hollywood Reporter. The 6 issue mini-series was released between 1983-1984 and followed the story of a dishonored samurai who suddenly finds himself in the 21st century New York City, where he must defeat a demon who killed his master. According to the site here is the synopsis of the SYFY show:

He awakens in a futuristic, nihilistic New York in the body of Billy, a medical experiment. Now Billy/Ronin is chasing the demon, which has reawakened. Both parties want control of a sword with magical properties and will stop at nothing to get it back.[/box_light]
Ronin was originally being worked on for the big screen by director Darren Aronofsky, before that project fell through. No further details have been released as of yet, such as who will script the show or how long the first season will be, so keep it tooned here to DFAT for more updates on this exciting project! Also being adapted for TV by SYFY from the comic book world, Charles Soule‘s Letter 44. Looks like movie theaters isn’t the only place we will see some of these classic story lines popping up!
