We haven’t even seen a trailer or really even heard anything about the upcoming Jonathan Liebesman-directed Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film; yet today we may have our first look at one of the Heroes in a Half Shell. Below, we have a picture of Michaelangelo, as a Halloween costume.
Now, I’ve been a Turtles fan for as long as I can remember, so I’m really trying to hold off judgement of anything until I see some footage; but COME ON! He’s sporting tattoos, sunglasses, a shell necklace, and board shorts!? Like I said, I really can’t say anything until I see them in action, but so far I’m not impressed.
Let’s all try and focus on the fact that children’s costumes RARELY, if ever, look like the actual counterparts. Instead, focus on the fact that Mikey’s got a tattoo and I doubt any of his brothers gave it to him. Ponder that.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is due out June 6th, 2014. The movie is directed by Jonathan Liebesman and will also star: Alan Ritchson, Danny Woodburn, Jeremy Howard, Megan Fox, Noel Fisher, and Will Arnett.
