Let The Amazing Spider-Man 2 news onslaught begin! It seems like every other day we get a ton of Spidey news from the upcoming Marc Webb– directed sequel and since I’ve been a tad behind on my news, today you’ll be getting more than usual! So, let’s get right to it shall we?

First up, We have our first official look at The Green Goblin being played by Dane DeHaan. Does he look better than the biker suit from the Sam Raimi movies? Yes. Does he look anywhere near a GOBLIN that we’ve come to know and love from the comics? No! I don’t understand why a 51yr old comic with a TON of source material can’t just translate to a movie? That being said, I have faith in Webb so I’ll save my judgements to when I see him in action.

We have the first official still and a video of what Gobby’s mini-bust will look like.

Here’s the Official Synopsis:

[box_light]

We’ve always known that Spider-Man’s most important battle has been within himself: the struggle between the ordinary obligations of Peter Parker and the extraordinary responsibilities of Spider-Man. But in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker finds that a greater conflict lies ahead.

It’s great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: Oscorp.
