Well, here it is Towelites, we have the first official trailer from The Amazing Spider-Man 2! The footage is very fast,  and features Andrew Garfield explaining, “The more people I try to save, the more enemies I will make.  And it’s just a matter of time before I face those with more power than I can overcome.” Given that he’ll be facing three villains in this film, and possibly six in the next, what what point will Spidey have to throw in his webslingers?

Here’s the official synopsis for The Amazing Spider-Man 2:

[box_light]In The Amazing Spider-Man 2, for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.[/box_light]

{Here’s the updated Trailer breakdown with Marc Webb and Cast.} thanks to Total Film

Other than the premature inclusion of Harry Osbourne as The “Green” Goblin, my fears about how this movie was gonna turn out have been a bit quelled. You see a kick-ass Electro, The Rhino doesn’t SUPER bother me, and the hints at Vultures Wings and Doc Ock’s arms made me nerdgasm. This trailer made me remember why I have a Spider-Man tattoo on my body and why he’ll remain my favorite superhero no matter how many times he’s been cloned, killed, mutated, and more. Let’s just hope the whole film lives up to this trailer.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 stars: Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Dane DeHaan, Jamie Foxx, Colm Feore, Paul Giamatti, Felicity Jones, Chris Cooper, and Sally Field. The Marc Webb directed sequel swings into theaters on May 2, 2014.
