Are you ready toy lovers? No really are you?! Now many of you know that Funko will be offering a TON of exclusives at this year’s SDCC. I’m here to round up the SIX announcements that the company has been slowly releasing over the past couple weeks. It’s time to open The Toy Chest!
I love POP! vinyl figures, you love POP! figures, heck even your mom loves them. Funko’s super HUGE series always has some of the best offerings when it comes to convention exclusives. This year is no different, it’s POP! vinyl overload!
First up we have my favorites of the lot! The Ghostbusters POP!’s that were released this year were amazing and now Funko is unleashing some variants! I love the glow-in-the-dark features, and the “slimed” and “marshmellowed” GB’s are the best! A great two pack featuring the cutest Wampa this side of galaxy. Too bad Luke cut off his arm! Finally I can never get enough Buffy, and this bloody variant is badass! I really hope that we see more of the scoobies in other Funko forms!!
Next we have some great POP!’s for classic collectors, maybe, and of course the kiddos. These strange Flintstones 2-packs come in all sorts of colors! I do like the TMNT Sponge Bob, even though I’m not a Squarepants fan. I still need to watch Adventure Time, and maybe Despicable Me.
Next up we have some great POP!’s for your more violent side. Hannibal is bloody, Vincent and Jules are bloody, Hershel’s getting his head cut off!!!! Those guys are cooking drugs!!! This is supposed to be a family friendly column!
I want that Hershel, who’s getting me one?
The ReAction line, amazing. A throwback to the classic days of action figures, based on some of the GREATEST franchises of all time. I mean look at Jayne and Mal! Color variations for the Predator and The Rocketeer. I can’t believe how many of these are out now! The Alien Super 7 set was amazing and this is just taking things to a whole new level!
Rounding out the announcements, the Legacy Collection gets a great exclusive with a glow-in-the-dark White Walker, I want it now. For you Bronies out there, you know who you are, a couple “bad-ass”, and I use that lightly, ponies. What do you think of Mystery Minis? They sure are cute and collectible, Funko has a ton of different ones available in stores, but at SDCC there will be exclusive Disney characters!
So that’s it toy fans, for now. I’m sure this isn’t the last we’ll hear from Funko! So if you are going to the big show this year, swing by Booth #5343 and pick up some of these great toys!! Sound off in the comments about which collectibles you want the most!
