I know, I know! SDCC has already started and most likely most of these exclusives are long gone. But LEGO is my favorite toy company in the world. And while we wait for some major announcements from the big show, I wanted to share with you the EXCLUSIVES from the famous brick company that most of us have NO CHANCE of getting our hands on. That’s of course if you don’t want to pay scalper prices for them! The show is already underway, and I am sure that these are already gone, gone, GONE!!
It’s time to open The Toy Chest!
The floodgates are open on the Classic Batman ’66 TV Show and every company wants a piece. This Batmobile set is both amazing and very frustrating. I want it. Now. This will be on EBAY for close to $1000 I’m sure. Even those Minifigures are original, using the coloring from the TV show costumes! This set will be LONG GONE by now! AHHH!
Next up we have the Marvel offerings and both are based on this summer’s sure to be blockbuster, Guardians of the Galaxy. First up The Collector (played by Benicio Del Toro), and second a variant on the already released Rocket Raccoon dressed in his Guardian’s uniform. Rocket comes with a ship called Rocket’s Warbird, which consists of 145 pieces. I really hope that LEGO announces more Cosmic sets coming in the future! Where’s my Thanos Minifigure?!
For you The Hobbit fans out there, here’s Bard the Bowman, hero of Lake Town. For those of you who don’t know what happens at the end of the Hobbit, look for this character to be the big hero. SPOILER ALERT!
For those of you who LOVED The LEGO Movie, myself included, you can get your paws on this Uni-Kitty minifigure. This version just isn’t evil enough for me.
Finally, why wouldn’t LEGO offer a Star Wars exclusive?! With Star Wars Rebels on the way and some sets based on the new animated show on shelves, SDCC will be the only place you can get your hands on this Chopper and Ghost set. The Ghost is the main ship that our heroes will pilot in the show, and this is your opportunity to pick up the mini version! But good luck with that!
Well that wraps up the SDCC exclusives coverage for The Toy Chest. Stay tooned to DFAT for all your important GEEKLY updates from the big show this week!
