With Breaking Bad and Mad Men ending their series soon, AMC wants to milk as much as it can out of it’s main breadwinner, The Walking Dead. Creator Robert Kirkman and producers, Gale Anne Hurd and Dave Alpert are creating a “companion series” that will be set at the same time, with all new characters. Kirkman says that the show will be completely original, not based off his comics. The series will air in 2015.

In other Walking Dead news, actress Laurie Holden, is joining the cast of Dumb and Dumber To. According to Deadline, Holden will play Adele Pichlow, “the well to do wife of a doctor who is up to no good and who plans to use Harry and Lloyd to cover her tracks.”

Also joining the cast are Steve Tom and Rachel Melvin, reports THR. Tom will play Adele’s husband Dr. Pichlow, with Melvin as Adele’s step-daughter Penny.
