This is a pretty heavy episode where we find Rick, Michonne, and Glenn lead a group of Alexndrians back to town through a herd of walkers that broke off the hoard.  The horn is still blaring from Alexandria and is creating a horrible distraction for Rick’s group.  Trying to lead the broken off walkers away from Alexandria, Rick decides to break from the group and race towards the RV back at the wall of Alexandria and take the car and lead the walkers away.  Glenn and Michonne are left to get the Alexandrians who helped with the hoard drive back to town.  Rick tells Glenn that in reality some might not make it, but don’t slow down until you are home.  Dave and Scott are tired of following Rick’s orders and starts to complain about their predicament.  Michonne steps up and defends Rick’s decision and strongly emphasizes that to get out of this alive they have to listen to him.  Just then a walker attacks one of the Alexandrians and dies, but not before Michonne kills it.  Shocked and stunned, the other Alexandrians watch Rick take their fellow townsman’s gun and energy bar without any hesitation.

Back at the main horde of walkers, Daryl decides to break from Sash and Abraham and ride back to Alexandria to help them, but Sasha and Rick strongly recommends to stay the course.  He defies Rick’s orders and goes back leaving Sasha and Abraham alone with a long trail of walkers behind them.

Glenn and Michonne’s group get attacked by a few walkers, some of the Alexandrians get hurt, both from themselves and from the walkers.  Scott is shot is by one of his own, Sturgess, in a panic and runs away.  Dave is bitten by a walker, but is conscious enough to keep walking with the group.

They reach a town, hoping to find a car that can take them home.  Heath recognizes the town as to where Aidan and Nicholas abandoned their townspeople during a supply run and left them for dead.  Reluctantly Heath realizes that Nicholas is the best guide for this mission.  While walking through the town, they stumble upon Sturgess where his body is a feast for walkers.  They find a pet shop to hide in.  Glen comes up with a plan to distract the walkers by setting a building on fire to draw the walkers away from the group. Nicholas says there is a feed store that would be perfect for a fire.  Glen radios Rick about their plan and adds “Good Luck Dumbass”.  It is a perfect homage to their first encounter back in Atlanta where they first met.  Realizing that their injuries not getting any better, Annie tells them to leave them behind because they will only slow them down.  Heath tells her that no one is going to be left behind and stares at Michonne coldly.  She catches this and they get into a heated conversation about how Rick’s instructions to leave anybody who will slow them down bothered him.  She immediately steps in and explains that there is a reason for Rick’s reasoning with that.  She tells him that Rick has been through so much that it would give you nightmares.  Heath fires back and says that he’s been on many supply runs that he knows what the outside world is like.  She fires back that “he’s never been covered in so much blood that you don’t know if it is yours, or walkers, or your friend.”

The breakaway herd reaches the town.  Michonne and the others are forced out of the pet shop by walkers from within the shop.  They fight and claw their way to the edge of town, but Annie gets attacked by walkers and dies.  Glenn and Nicholas fail to find a suitable place to start a fire, but are surrounded by walkers.  They get cornered in an alley.  Glenn and Nicholas try to fight their way out but find themselves standing on top of a dumpster, out of walkers reach.  Stricken by guilt and grief, Nicholas takes his own life, but before he shoot himself he tells Glenn “Thank You”.  He falls back towards the walkers with Glenn tripping and falling with him.  We see walkers grabbing and tearing at guts and blood with Glenn screaming out.

Rick reaches the RV and drives away.  He can’t get Glenn on the radio.  While slowing and stopping along the road, he is ambushed by a couple of Wolves.  Hey are the same Wolves that Morgan let go back in Alexandria.  Rick kills them and a few others waiting outside the RV.  The breakaway herd reaches the RV but the car won’t start.  Daryl overhears Rick on the radio, but it helpless to aid him.  He finds himself back on the road where he meets up with Sasha and Abraham.

Michonne, Heath and Scott find their way back to Alexandria only to find it mostly burned.  Michonne pulls out her katana and prepares herself to fight.

It’s a bitter sweet episode where a main character is possibly dead.  I hope it isn’t so.  Glenn and Michonne use their survival skills to help bring the Alexandrians back home.  Along the way Nicholas redeems himself, well sort of but ultimately ends his life because of his past mistakes.  Rick is stuck between a car and a walker hoard. How will he get out of this one? I guess the biggest question is how will Maggie react to Glenn being MIA or KIA?  What will she do?
