The people around Eric laughed about his eccentricities. Chalking his actions up to a vivid imagination and a wild attempt at humor. The truth was much more dangerous. At least, it is for Eric. See, Eric genuinely, 100%, no joke believes he is living in a recreated reality. A fictitious vision of a seemingly normal world. He does things he shouldn’t sometimes because of this.

Blackwood #1 (of 4) (Dark Horse)

Evan Dorkin (W) Veronica Fish (A)

Really excited for this series. This team is great. I love Dorkin and I am really hoping for something special with this book. Pick it up.

Super-Sons/Dyno-Mutt Special #1 (DC)

Peter J. Tomasi (W) Fernando Pasarin (A)

I missed out on the Super-Sons series, and I was a fool to do that. Everything I’ve heard has been amazing and I am not missing this amazing crossover. You can’t make me.

Justice League: No Justice #4 (of 4) (DC)

Scott Snyder/Joshua Williamson/James Tynion IV (W) Francis Manapul (A)

Holy hell, I love every bit of this series. I’ve said it before, but seriously, I am so excited for the new Justice League series. You would be excited to if you read these books. I mean, you may, but if you don’t, shame on you.

The Punisher #225 (of 228) (Marvel)

Matthew Rosenberg (W) Guiu Vilanova (A)

There is a theme in this weeks pull. I’ve added the number for the last issue of the series like I normally do with limited runs. It’s sad that everything I love is ending. On a positive note, even though this is ending, Matthew Rosenberg is continuing in Punisher #1 later. So, that’s cool.

Ms. Marvel #30 (Marvel)

G. Willow Wilson (W) Nico Leon (A)

I think this series is getting back to the things I love about this series and that has me so gosh darn excited. Do yourself a favor and get on the Kamala train before she gets a movie and everyone is claiming her as their favorite hero. That way you can be that asshole at the theater who says things like “ugh, have you even read the comics?!” because everyone loves that guy.

The Realm #6 (Image)

Seth M. Peck (W) Jeremy Haun (A)

This books seems to get more and more promising as it goes on. I am really excited to see this comic live a long life.

Daredevil #603 (Marvel)

Charles Soule (W) Mike Henderson (A)

I think I said this last time, but are we really gonna pretend that I don’t repeat myself all the time? This is the best that this series has been in a while. It’s so fucking good, I don’t want it to end.

Marvel 2-in-One #6 (Marvel)

Chip Zdarsky (W) Jim Cheung (A)

I DON’T THINK THIS SERIES IS ENDING JUST BECAUSE FANTASTIC FOUR IS COMING BACK! WOOOOO! BEST NEWS SINCE THEY SAID FANTASTIC FOUR IS COMING BACK.

Survival Fetish #2 (of 5?) (Black Mask Studios)

Patrick Kindlon (W) Antonio Fuso (A)

I think this series is ending at issue five? I mean it doesn’t really say that in the solicitations, but I’ve read ending solicitations before and it totally is an ending solicitation. I don’t know what to think, I just know this series is great.

VS #4 (Image)

Ivan Brandon (W) Esad Ribic (A)

I thought this one was a limited but the fact that it isn’t makes me so fucking happy. Ivan Brandon has been hit and miss with me, but this one is on fucking point. A+ series.

Doomsday Clock #5 (of 12) (DC)

Geoff Johns (W) Gary Frank (A)

IT’S ACTUALLY COMING OUT. THIS ISN’T A DRILL.

Descender #30 (of 32) (Image)

Jeff Lemire (W) Dustin Nguyen (A)

Fuck. It’s almost over.

Saga #52 (Image)

Brian K. Vaughan (W) Fiona Staples (A)

I have this creeping feeling these guys are gonna pull a fast one on us and end this series in eight issues. BKV has a history of doing sixty issues then pulling the plug. This arc ends on issue fifty four, which gives him a nice big break, then a nice six issue arc to wrap up everything. I hope I’m not right.

Royal City #11 (of 14) (Image)

Jeff Lemire (W/A)

THIS ONE IS ENDING THOUGH AND I’M STILL MAD ABOUT IT. LEMIRE IS BREAKING MY HEART TWICE THIS YEAR. BASTARD.

Once Eric robbed a man at gun point. Not to get his money or phone, although that was an added perk, instead he did it just to show he couldn’t get caught. That the restrictions of the reality someone had made for him wouldn’t allow his to play the game in prison. He was right in one regard, he was never caught. Another time he swallowed a bunch of sleeping pills. His friends loved having someone so quirky around. It added some flavor to their lives, made them different, maybe they could find peace knowing they had it more figured out than Eric. He never minded.
