One of my favorite things to do at NYCC is traverse the floor and check out what my favorite companies have coming to toy shops and specialty stores in the coming year!

It’s time to open up The Toy Chest!

We have already covered our two of our favorite companies from the show. You can check out my TWO articles about NECA, Part One here and Part Two here. Also later today check out our coverage of the Diamond Select Toys booth and Casey’s interview with Zach Oat!

Of course there are some companies who are just too cool for school, but throw their collectibles into a display next to the Batman 75th display. I’m looking at you DC Collectibles and Mattel. MattyCollector has gone by the wayside and can’t even keep their most popular line alive, so my faith in them is completely gone. DC Collectibles still makes the GREATEST action figures based on their characters so they are kind of forgiven, but other than that you sucked it up this year DC.

I still don’t understand why Hasbro doesn’t have a presence at the show, they would rule the school!

BUT lucky for us there are some amazing companies out there putting out some awesome products in the coming year. Here are the rest of our highlights from the big show!

Dark Horse Collectibles

From Game of Thrones to Legend of Korra, Dark Horse comics has some great licenses!

Square Enix

I LOVE Play Arts Kai, even if they are on the expensive side. Square even had an exclusive Deathstroke that I almost threw down 100 bucks for, but decided not to. But they had some amazing new products on display including Final Fantasy VII, their NEW Marvel line, and of course a TON of DC Comics characters and variants. THEY ARE OUTTA CONTROL!! ESPECIALLY THOSE PREDATORS!!!

Bandai

I just recently picked up Bandai’s S.H. MonsterArts Alien and Predator figures, so I am just starting to appreciate how awesome this company is! They had some new DC figures called Sprukits that are action figure model kits! More on them as I learn about them!

MEZCO

Finally, this beauty. Though they had the Judge Dredd there, we couldn’t deny this Dark Knight Returns Batman! MEZCO’s new line, One:12 Collective looks amazing and I can’t wait to get my hands on this guy!

So sound off Towelites! Which of these are you looking forward to the most?!
