Ahoy Towelites, Chaz here, on another geekly adventure through time and space, as I track down the newest trailers and clips coming out of Hollywood! Today, I’m happy to share a ton of new stuff, mostly from the animated world, but we through in some fantasy and superheroes as well. Take a look at what’s coming to a theatre and television near you!

First up, we have Laika Studios, newest film. They already amazed us with Coraline and ParaNorman, and the upcoming Boxtrolls looks to keep up that fantastic stop-motion tradition!

I remember as a kid watching Paddington Bear and loving this bear who ate marmalade, though I had no idea what that was. He’s getting the live-action treatment and it looks positively horrifying. No one wants to see a bear that looks so real acting like a human, it’s unnatural.

When you were my age you grew up with sweet stuff, like E.T., The Goonies, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Now, the Heroes in a Half Shell are getting a documentary called Turtle Power: The Definitive History of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and it’s all the nostalgia a geek could ask for!

Home looks like the typical animated crap that no one remembers and is gone as fast it came. It involves aliens on Earth, which very rarely is ever done right in animated form. It does feature the voices of Jim Parsons and Steve Martin, so it’s got that going for it.

To go completely opposite from the kid friendly trailers above, we have Michael Keaton starring in Birdman. He plays a struggling actor who is best known for his superhero role, who must try to make his way to Broadway. The film is the kind of black comedy that I love, and honestly, if MK is in it; I’m gonna watch it. Not to mention that the visuals are stunning, and there’s a fantasy element to it as well, I’m there.

Finally, is the newest film from Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, The Interview. The duo set a pretty high bar with their last film, This is The End, but the pairing of Rogen and James Franco never disappoints and I’m looking forward to how this film will end up.

There ya have it kiddos! Hope you enjoyed this edition of Trailers Galore! Til next time, keep you heads in the air and keep reaching for the stars, or something like that.
