Hey Towelites! What’s new to Blu-ray and DVD this week? Let’s find out!
The Wolf of Wall Steet is this week’s big release. The film was nominated for several Oscars, including best picture, best actor, best supporting actor, best director, and more! But unfortunately failed to win any of the major categories. No worries here. I still plan on seeing this raved about film and if you are a big DiCaprio fan, you should as well.
Avengers Confidential: Black Widow and the Punisher continues Marvel’s anime series. I haven’t had the chance to watch any of these so if anyone has please let me know. I will catch up on these when they are all on Netflix. Speaking of that, the last two animated outing for the company are now on Instant Streaming FYI. This one sees an odd pairing of two of Marvel’s heavy-hitters. Avenger, Black Widow must team-up with the uber-violent Punisher to take down the bad guys!
Delivery Man is a comedy starring the very funny Vince Vaughn. This is the story of a sperm donor who ends up trying to be a part of ALL of his kids’ lives. It looked kind of funny from the previews, but not one I am rushing out to pick up.
Odd Thomas stars Anton Yelchin (Star Trek, Fright Night) and is based on a story by Dean Koontz. I actually never even heard of this film until today, but it looks kind of interesting. It follows the story of a clairvoyant cook who starts to see demons and other creatures as they enter our dimension. Might have to check this one out.
On the TV side of things, Season 2 of the time-traveling SYFY series, Continuum hits disc, while we see Little House on the Prairie’s Season 1 for the very first time!
And for you 3D buffs out there, the CGI documentary, Walking with Dinosaurs 3D comes out today!
Stay tooned to Tuesday Blu’s-Day on DFAT next week because with the new month, come some big new releases!
