TWO MORE WEEKS till X-MAS, Towelites!

Have you sent all your letters to Santa yet?  Cause if not, you might find what you’re looking for in this weeks releases.

One of the new ones for the week is Seth MacFarlane’s Ted, starring Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis.  Haven’t seen this yet, but I’ve heard good things… especially if you’re a Family Guy style comedy fan.

Next big one is The Bourne LegacyJeremy Renner takes the reigns in this one, and let me tell you… he’s definitely bad-ass.  The movie was actually very good.  I don’t think it was as great as the original trilogy, but most defiantly a good and entertaining movie.

Continuing on the new side, Ice Age: Continental Drift also comes out; including a 3D version.  I’ve been told this was not as good as the first two, but better then average.

A couple classics for the first time on Blu-Ray are showing up this week as well.  First off, we have Dick Tracy and the plethora of cast, which include Warren Beatty, Al Pacino, Madonna, and more.  It’s been so long since I’ve seen this one, but I do remember it as being really good.

Second classic, and one I’m excited about, is Following, by Christopher Nolan.  In fact, this one is his first low-budget, “artsy” film, that kicked off his career; and what a great movie to do it with.  If you, or anyone you know, is a Nolan fan (Memento, Inception, The Prestige, and the 3 latest Batman films), then this is a MUST for the collection.

In television, HBO releases the first season of Girls.  But my own excitement is going for Futurama: Volume 7.  I absolutely LOVE Futurama.  There is something about the perfect blend of comedy, innocence, cleverness and emotion that just leaves me smiling.  This show will forever be my number 1 show.  So, if you’re into it, get this great season.  If you’re not, then get into it!

That’s all for now, folks!
