Tuesday Blus day Slider 930 300

We have another great week for releases.  And though there are a couple new ones worth mention, I want to start with the Blu-Ray release (finally), of what is probably considered my all time favorite movie;  Willow.  This amazing picture from LucaFilms is what I consider my “marriage” movie.  I watch it, it sickness, in health, during good times and bad, etc.  I LOVE this movie.  Directed by Ron Howard, written by Geaorge Lucas, and starring Val Kilmer and Warwick Davis, this movie is AWESOME!  And now, with this blu-ray release, we get deleted scenes, director commentary, making of, and more.

My excitement for this movie is so great, I should just end this here.  But the rest does indeed enjoy mentioning.  Life of Pi comes out this week, in all formats, including 3D – which is good news considering this film won four Oscars, two of the being for Visual Effects and Cinematography.   Directed by Ang Lee (Brokeback Mountain, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon), this film is based on the book of the same name by Yann Martel; and what an amazing book it is.  Can’t wait to get my hands on this movie.

Next big one is Rise of the Guardians.  Haven’t seen this one, but I have heard great stuff about it, and the whole idea of all these “holiday” characters getting together for one movie… well, its sounds like a good time.  Starring the voices of Chris Pine, and Alec Baldwin, this might be a great one tow own – especially if you have some little ones running around the house.

Final on the new end is Hitchcock, starring the great Anthony Hopkins, Helen Mirren and Scarlett Johansson.

Who Framed Roger Rabbit another amazing classic, gets is 25th Anniversary Blu-Ray releas, with tons of extras on the disc.  Disney also gives two double releases of Mulan 1 & 2 and Hunchback of Norte Dame 1& 2.

Another release to note, for the Video Game world, is God of War: Ascension.  Can’t wait to add this one to my collection as well; It is about my heritage, so… of course I would love it.

That’s it for the week.  Hopefully next one will be just as good.
