Hey all,

Welcome to another good week of releases.  Highlight of the week is Oz the Great and Powerful.  With the awesome James Franco, the beautiful Michelle Williams, and the amazing Mila Kunis, this movie was visually outstanding and very entertaining overall.  It didn’t get great reviews, which is , cause I actually really enjoyed this.  I still think it’s worth having, especially if you can get it in 3D, which looked great.

Oz

Next big one is Hansel & Gretel, starring Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton.  This didn’t get any special reviews either – but who knows… might just be entertaining.  Also comes in a 3D version.

H&G

Dwayne Johnson comes out with his movie, Snitch.  Decent reviews for this one, not sure if I’m personally interested in it.  Don’t get me wrong… I think The Rock is an entertaining actor, and love him in movies like Fast Five, but not sure how this one will be.

Enter the Dragon comes to use in a 40th Anniversary Edition, which is a “must get” for any Bruce Lee and Kung Fu fan.  This movie is a classic, and if you don’t own it, then now is the chance to get it (not to mention the cover picture is pretty cool too)…

Enter the Dragon

Television releases season 1 of The Newsroom (which is definitely an “entertaining” show, albeit maybe a little on the overly scripted side), but more importantly we have the Netflix production of House of Cards, season 1.  This show was one of the highlights on the year to me.  If you haven’t seen it, get this… it’s worth owning just to have in your collection. Directed by the amazing David Fincher (Fight Club, Seven, Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) and getting to watch Kevin Spacey and what might be one of his absolutely best role of his career, this show will have you’re nerves tensed up like no other.

House of Cards

That’s it for the week.  Stay in touch,
