Hello towelites and welcome to another week of blu-ray and dvd releases.

This week we get The Call, starring Halle Berry, and The Incredible Burt Wonderstone, with Steve Carell and Jim Carey.  Can’t speak for either of these, as I have not seen them, but neither of them got anything special when it comes to reviews.

Warner Bros. releases a Best of: 50 Cartoon Collection: Looney Tunes.  Maybe it’s just me, but other than a handful of today’s cartoons, they’re just not what they use to be.  And Looney Tunes was some of the best, so truth be told, I’m kind of looking forward for this – especially considering its only priced in the $20’s.

WB 50 Looney Tunes

That’s pretty much it in the new department.  That recent “Steelbook”collection of blu-rays is getting a re-releasing Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, Serenity, and Pitch Black (among others).  I still haven’t actually grabbed one of these Steelooks yet, so I can’t say much about it; and though movies is one of the handful things I like to collect (and build a library of), I don’t see much point if its just the case and a few unimportant extras.

Shaun of the Dead

On TV’s side of things, CSI: NY brings us its final season.  Ehhh…

Well, that’s it.  Next month will have a few good ones throughout the weeks, so that’s something to look forwards to.
