So, if you were to exclude the film The Other Woman (starring Cameron Diaz, Leslue Mann, and Kate Upton), which you should, you’re still left with one great release this week.

Other Woman

One of the best directors out there, Darren Aronofsky (The Fountain, Black Swan) releases his latest film, Noah.  Accompanied by Russell Crowe, Jennifer Connelly, Anthony Hopkins, and Emma Watson, along with musical composer and friend, Clint Mansell, Aronofsky delivers yet another masterpiece.  I say that with caution, as the controversy with this film is that it’s “based” on the Biblical story.  But the story is obviously changed into an interpretation, following its own style and events.  Unfortunately this brings about some bad reviews from the over-religious viewers, who for some reason act as if this change insults the “real” events depicted by the bible.  Needless to say, if you cannot accept the biblical stories as fictional ones meant to describe an idea and belief (and not actual events) than you would probably not be into this.  But if you’re in it for the “message” behind the story, and are open for a unique (and epic) interoperation, than this is definitely a must watch!
