Oh the Blu-ray’s are truly pouring like wine this week. We have offerings from ONE of the many Captain Marvels, Scorpions Gone Wild, and Popstars that will never stop Popping. It’s your weekly edition of Tuesday Blusday so lets get to it!
Ghostbusters (Blu-ray, 4K)
It’s the 35th anniversary of Ghostbusters so why not put out ANOTHER edition of the movies. This time though, it’s in 4K and both movies are together and slime looks even cooler in hi-def. Don’t believe me? Well, whatever you don’t have to take my opinion.
Johnny Quest Complete Series (Blu-ray)
I always loved this series as a kid and I personally can’t wait to get my hands on this. There was a long rumored film supposedly being directed by Robert Rodriguez. Maybe the sales from this set will light a fire under his tooshie.
Orange is the New Black S6 (Blu-ray)
The longest running Netflix show gets another season. This time for your home video consuming, assuming you take the blu-ray to a location where someone doesn’t have Netflix. At which time you have to ask yourself, should I even be here?
Popstar (Blu-ray)
This is another Netflix film coming to blu-ray. I honestly don’t know why they do it when there are no extras on them. I’ll just watch it on Netflix. And honestly you should too, cause the movie is super funny. If you like The Lonely Island than give this one a go.
I am the Night Complete Series (Blu-ray)
Patty Jenkins directs this series starring Chris Pine. I don’t know if there’s any additional ties to Wonder Woman past that, but the pair of them together is likely something great.
The Godfather Trilogy (Blu-ray, 4K)
I love these first two films so very much. The third one is a waste of celluloid. To see the first two get the 4K treatment is worth my money.
Fast & Furious 8-Movie Collection (4K)
If you didn’t own them already, here they are in one super package. Though Hobbs & Shaw comes out this year and another FF next year, so maybe wait? Depends on how much of a completist you are I suppose.
Beserk Complete Series (Blu-ray)
I haven’t seen this series but Chris Walk raves about it as one of the best animes ever. I suppose this would be the time to give it a go in glorious HD.
The Warriors (Steelbook Blu-ray)
Warriors, come out and play! And then be watched on the big screen.
Captain Marvel (Blu-ray, 4K, DVD)
I honestly did not care for this movie. It was kinda a waste of time in the overall MCU and even when she showed up in Endgame, I just didn’t connect with the character. That being said, a lot of you liked it and want to add it to your collection. Now you can.
The Scorpion King 5-Movie Collection (Blu-ray)
Sorry to end this whole thing on a down because, why? Just why do these need to exist outside of a streaming service? It’s almost laughable if they weren’t so horribly bad.
And there ya have it, til next time!
