ISOLATION

It’s getting real folks! I feel like last night’s episode, though maybe a little slow, was full of information. First of all, let’s just get this out in the open, Carol killed Karen and David. And some might say that she’s possibly turning into a cold blooded murderer, but I think that she did what she thought was the logical thing. They were sick, they were obviously going to turn, so she burned them to try to get rid of the virus. Unfortunately that didn’t happen and it’s spreading like wild fire. Our beloved Glen has it now, and who knows what’s going to happen to him. Hopefully he makes it, but with this show you never know who you’re going to lose. Back to Carol for a second though, I figured it out after she talked to Tyreese, it was obvious when she started having the breakdown and kicked over the bucket of water. Then when Rick asked her about it she was just so nonchalant about it. But honestly, I think she was just doing what she thought needed to be done and why feel guilty about it? They had a horrible disease and she was just trying to get rid of it, make everyone else safe from it. And now her basically adopted daughter has it, and even though you know she’s dying to take care of her, she knows she can’t. When Lizzie asked her to tuck her in she knew she couldn’t go in there. That was heart breaking, because you want to take care of your kids when they’re sick, and she knows she can’t, or else she’ll get it too.

Hershel is in with the sick, and I wouldn’t expect anything less from him. His speech to Maggie about it was wonderful. He’s totally right too, when you’re at risk like this, you have to figure out what you feel is worth risking your life for. He knows he can help these people, even if it’s just for a little while to make them feel a bit better before Daryl and everyone get back with the meds. He knows what he’s doing and he would rather do something useful, trying to help people, then to sit around waiting to hear about who died next. While he’s in Cell Block A giving the doctor the tea, Dr. S. coughs up blood on his face. At that point it was pretty obvious that his face mask wasn’t going to help him much. I sincerely hope that Hershel doesn’t get struck down with this, but it seems like it’s pretty much inevitable now.

Tyreese is losing it over what happened to Karen and David, and I don’t blame him one bit. She was the one good thing he had and now she’s gone, and the fact that he knows she hadn’t turned yet and was basically murdered makes it even worse. He and Rick got into a horrendous fight, and Rick lost control, at least I think he did. It started out like he was trying to punch some sense into Tyreese, and ended up like he was taking out all of his aggressions on him. It seems like they kind of patched things up a bit though, so I guess that’s a good thing. Though, Tyreese’s face is going to take some time to heal.

Hershel gave Daryl and Michonne the information needed to get to the vet school and get the antibiotics for everyone. They get Bob and eventually Tyreese to go with them on the run. Quick sidebar: Something’s up with Bob. I don’t know what it is right now, but I just have a feeling like he’s not a good person or something. Don’t ask me why, he hasn’t done anything to make me think that, maybe it’s just in the way they’re portraying him or something, but mark my words, he is not a good guy. Okay, back to the car. The gang’s all there, speeding down the road flipping through radio stations when they hear a voice. While Daryl is trying to get a clear station, and not paying attention to the road, he hits a Walker, then another, then holy crap! There’s THOUSANDS of them!!!! They are completely surrounded. I was screaming, “BACK UP! BACK UP!” and of course he did, only for that to result in him backing up over so many of them that the car got stuck. They had to get out and fight their way through the mob. Tyreese is surrounded, Daryl, Michonne and Bob take off into the woods. Out of nowhere here comes Tyreese! Covered in Walker guts, with his hammer, and completely intact! Now they’re on the run, still trying to get to the vet school for meds, I think anyways, and who knows what will happen to them out there.

I do have a question though, is it just me or does it seem like something is luring the Walkers into the direction of the prison? Does anyone think that maybe The Governor is somehow behind it? We all know he’s out there, and just demented enough to figure out a way to herd them that way. I don’t know, but there’s just so many of them and it seems odd to me.

Next week it looks like Daryl and his team end up in a Zombie high school or something. I’m hoping they find the meds and get back soon, but that’s just wishful thinking, we all know that won’t happen. Take a look at the preview for ‘Indifference’

Till next week Towelites! Keep safe, don’t get bit and Happy Halloween!
