Despite it’s horrid reviews, Girl on a Train was able to snag the #1 spot at the Box Office this past weekend. The film was a disjointed mess that only halfway made sense if you read the book; but then it was a disgrace to the source material and really just didn’t need to be put out to moviegoers. Regardless, it’s out in the world and it’s made $24.7 million dollars and beat out last week’s, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. The Tim Burton film came in at 2nd place with $15 million. You can see the rest of the Top Ten below.

1. The Girl on the Train $24.7
2. Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children  $15
3. Deepwater Horizon  $11.7
4. The Magnificent Seven  $9.1
5. Storks $8.4
6. The Birth of a Nation  $7.1
7. Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life  $6.9
8. Sully $5.3
9. Masterminds $4.1
10. Queen of Katwe  $1.6

Next weekend, are Max Steel, The Accountant, and the newest Kevin Hart comedy film. All of them will probably be better than Girl on a Train and will easily take the Top 3 spots at the Box Office. Am I wrong? Find out on the next edition of Weekend Roundup!
