Terminator: Dark Fate is the latest in a 35 year old franchise and while it did make the #1 spot at the Box Office, that didn’t mean it was a good thing. The film was plauged with writing and editing problems and those could attribute to just why the film did bad. It’s also possible that people just don’t want to see another Terminator film after the last 3 sequels have been met with mixed reviews. Whatever the case, the film was able to earn $29 million here in the States, which is a far cry from the estimated $175 million budget.

Joker took the 2nd spot with $13 million, but when you’re the #1 one R-rated movie of all-time, who really cares at this point? The rest of the Top Ten pretty much just stayed where it’s been despite Motherless Brooklyn and Arctic Dogs taken the 9th and 10th positions respectively. You can see the rest of the Top Ten below.

Next weekend, we have three movies set to shake things up. We will get the debuts of Last Christmas, Playing with Fire, and Doctor Sleep; with the latter getting my vote for the #1 spot. Bad news regardless of you slice it for Terminator as all three movies have the power to take it down. Find out if I’m right on the next edition of Weekend Roundup.
