Well, looks like Lionsgate has another massive win on it’s hand with The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. From the movie studio that brought you Abduction and the Saw series, comes the biggest November opening of all time. Catching Fire has brought in $161.1 million! Thats the kind of numbers that converts New Line from Freddy to Lord of the Rings. Kudos to Lionsgate for cashing in on the Tween Sensation!

As you can see by looking at the All-Time Biggest Openings in Box Office History, Catching Fire is in the #4 position! Given the film had a better plot, and MUCH better CGI than the first film, it’s no doubt it was such a hit. Next week, there isn’t really any competition in way of Jennifer Lawrence and company either. Now it’s just a matter of how fast the film can reach a Billion!
