This last weekend in January has been an especially cold one. The weather’s dropped here in the North East and it’s dropped at the Box Office. There was the premiere’s of three movies: Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, Parker, and Movie 43. Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton‘s action-comedy, Hansel & Gretel, ended up taking the top spot! They didn’t take a lot of money in, only $16mil; but still good enough to be #1.
The other two films only brought in the #5 and #7 spots respectively, with $7 and $5million dollars. They rounded up the rest of the Box Office numbers, with Les Miserables taking in the last place, bringing in another $3.9 million. It’ll be interesting to see what next week holds with the releases of Warm Bodies and Bullet to the Head. As much as I’d rather see the Stallone and Mamoa flick; my money is on the chick-flick-zombie-pick, Warm Bodies.
