Maybe I came across a little mean in my title for this edition of Weekend Roundup, but honestly, who is really going to see these Divergent films? The newest one, Allegiant, premiered with $29.1mil; further proving that this series is done and over. Luckily, it’s the final film in the franchise so after this sentence I will never have to talk about these films again.
edit: I have been informed that there is another Divergent film that still needs to come out. Even though the films hardly do any money, they split the last book into two films a la Harry Potter, Hunger Games, Twilight.
The winner of the weekend went to Zootopia again, which managed to take in another $38million. As the film continued to stay in the Top Spot, the other premiere, Miracles From Heaven, took the 2nd spot in the Box Office and earned $15mil. You can see the rest of the Top Ten below.

With the debut of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice coming to theatres this weekend, there’s little doubt that it will take #1 at the Box Office. I’m predicting a $120mil opening given the good reviews from last nights premiere, but you’ll have to stay tooned to the next edition of Weekend Roundup to see if I’m correct!
