In absolutely no surprise to anyone at all, except some super lame critics out there, Star Trek Into Darkness was #1 at the Box Office this weekend. The J. J. Abrams sequel pulled in more than $70mil. It will be interesting to see if the sequel will exceed the Quarter of Billion Dollar success of the first filmI’m a little surprised that the film didn’t make more money, but the critics really ripped this one apart. Next week, it’ll be a battle for #1, but we can safely assume that Fast & Furious 6 will take the top spot! I’m super excited to see where Justin Lin takes the series, after Fast 5 pretty much blew me away with action and comedy. Stay Tuned to DFAT to find out on the next Weekend Roundup!
