Despite some negative reviews, The Lion King has gone on to have one of the biggest openings of the year. The film was able to take in a whopping $185 million here in the US, with a total over over $531 million Worldwide. Looks like Disney can just continue to dominate the Box Office with 4 out of the 10 films in the Top Ten belonging to the House of the Mouse.
Even though The Lion King pretty much decimated everything else in sight, Spider-Man remained in the #2 spot and Toy Story 4 in #3. Yes, more Disney Films. Crawl has continued to perform well by adding another $6 million to it’s overall total of $23 million. The rest of the Top Ten are below.

Next weekend, we have the release of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, a movie I’ve been wanting to see since I heard about it. While Quentin Tarantino films rarely ever take the #1 spot at the Box Office, I’m sure it’ll be good enough to move some things around. Find out just how much it makes on the next edition of Weekend Roundup!
