Another sad day in Hollywood, as director and writer Garry Marshall passes away at 81. Best known for creating Happy Days and directing Pretty Woman, Marshall was battling pneumonia following a stroke and on late Tuesday night, lost that battle. Marshall had most recently written and directed Mother’s Day earlier this year and has countless credits to his name.
Personally, I’m a huge fan of his film Overboard starring Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell. His films always had a message of love and laughter and it’s a shame he will no longer be able to create such joy in the cinematic world.
