I first heard of The Kitchen last year when I read the DC graphic novel by Ollie Masters and Ming Doyle. It was a cool little story taking place in the 70s about a bunch of housewives who band together to do the crime their husbands usually do before they all get hauled off to prison. The movie looks to keep the tone of the comic and stars Melissa McCarthy, Tiffany Haddish and Elizabeth Moss. The film is written and directed by a woman, Andrea Berloff.
The Kitchen hits theaters on August 9.
