Our friends over at The Fwoosh have one of their a great “First Look” articles of the Elven characters Legolas and Tauriel represented in plastic form. So what is the verdict of The Bridge Direct‘s first attempt at a “true” action figure line? I’ll let you read the review and look at the gorgeous pics that were put together and judge for yourself. From my point of view it’s a great start but demand for these figs are leaving pegs empty, so your best bet may be finding these beauties online. I just checked Amazon and they a have a good supply of most of the sets, not that I have much faith in Amazon’s handling of action figure orders lately. I am not a collector of either the original LOTR series nor will I be picking up these, unless I find the Orc and Warg set, MAYBE, but I will be holding out for those glorious LEGO sets coming this winter….good hunting!

As a huge lotr collector im quite disapointed bridge direct and warner are pushing the 3.75″ line over the 6″. ive read many, many reviews lately and since living in australia ill have to wait a wee bit longer to the USA but just picked up bolg and gandalf two pack via the net today. When i oopened them up i was happy with the detail to the sizing but overall really disappointed in the lack of character and class compared to the larger lotr line. I stopped collecting star wars figures coz they just felt like kids crap. Lotr reined supreme on many levels compared to other lines due to many factors.
Bridge direct PLEASE,PLEASE,PLEASE release a substantial 6″ line like lotr , and all the dwarves , fingers crossed we’ve waited a decade for this.
I miss the old line. I think these toys are too small and lack the articulation. The faces look better on the new figures but I’d rather have the larger toys. -Chaz
